谨慎言语
谨守口的，得保生命； 大张嘴的，必致败亡。
箴言13:3
我们来看一个慢动作的场景。你的嘴巴张开，肌肉收缩，你的话犹如一辆汽车，从声带发出刺耳的声音，一路冲出来，闯了红灯，到了十字路口，却刹不住，闯了祸。这个事故造成的后果使人际关系破坏了，机会失去了，合作中止了，希望也渺茫了。你说出来的话可能会使人崩溃，说不定还要别人帮你收拾烂摊子。
你要学会什么时候该说话，以及该说话的时候说什么话。这会对你的世界产生重大的影响。那些在恰当的时候说出恰当言语的人，可以改变生命。而那些在不当的时候说出不当言语的人，会造成毁灭性的后果。
主耶稣是一位语言大师。使徒约翰直接称他为“道”。耶稣说的每一句话都应验了。即使在今天，他也对你我的心说话，祂所说的都是真理。面对棘手的问题，耶稣机智地回答；在针锋相对的时刻，耶稣柔和地说话；在罪的面前，耶稣直言不讳地指责。耶稣知道说什么，也知道怎么说，人们因祂而认识上帝。
今日祷告：
耶稣，求你让我按照你的方式来说话，不要让我的口绊倒人。阿们。

Accidental Words
Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.
PROVERBS 13:3
It happens in slow motion. You can sense your lips separating, feel your muscles forming, and hear the sounds emerge from your vocal cords, and still you can’t stop the words from screeching out of your mouth, through the red light, and into the intersection. The accident caused by your words ruins relationships, opportunities, cooperation, and even hope. The debris of your words can shatter people and can be a mess that others need to clean up.
One of the best impacts you could have on this world is to learn when to speak and what to say when you actually do speak. Those who speak with right words and right timing speak life. But those who speak with harmful words and harmful timing speak only ruin.
Jesus was a master with his words. He is even called the Word by the apostle John. Jesus spoke everything into existence, and he speaks truth even now into your heart and mine. He responded wisely in tricky circumstances, gently in heated moments, and truthfully in the face of sin. He knew just what to say and how to say it so that people would be able to discover God.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, give me your words and prompt me when to use them. Don’t let my mouth get in the way. Amen.
