受了恩膏
你们从那圣者受了恩膏，并且知道这一切的事 。
约翰一书2:20
在当今的文化里我们都在谈论有关人们离开教会的话题。其实并非世界各地都是如此，但这的确是我们社会的一个普遍的话题。你可能认识一些人，他们曾经是教会会员，但是现在他们好像没有什么兴趣了。
使徒约翰，在他年迈的时候，写信给一世纪早期的门徒，表达了同样的担忧。他谈到有多少人因为不愿信奉耶稣的真理而离开教会。但他劝告那些留下来的人：“你应当遵守所学和确信的。” 然而约翰并不担心，因为他知道上帝并不担心。上帝将继续在世界各地传扬祂的的真理，宣讲天国的福音。约翰看到这个异象，也希望人们都明白。无论怎样，耶稣已经也赐下圣灵，劝勉、鼓励和使用他的子民来完成大使命。

耶稣，求你的圣灵充满我，使我忠心于你。阿们。

You and the Holy Spirit
But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth.
1 JOHN2:20
There is a lot of talk in our culture today about people leaving churches. This isn’t true everywhere in the world, but it does seem to be a common theme in our society. You probably know many people who once were a part of a church but who just don’t seem to be interested anymore.
The apostle John, as an older man, wrote to followers of Jesus in the first century about the same concerns. He discussed how many people had been leaving churches because they were unwilling to commit to the truth of Jesus. But he counseled those who stayed: “You must remain faithful to what you’ve been taught.” But John wasn’t worried because he knew God wasn’t worried. God would continue to spread his message and grow his movement around the world. John could see this and he wanted people to know it too. Jesus, after all, had sent his Spirit to encourage, embolden, and employ his people in his mission.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, fill me with your Spirit so that I may stay true to you. Amen.
