爱父的心
不要爱世界和世界上的事。人若爱世界，爱父的心就不在他里面了。
约翰一书2:15
看看你的工作，看看你的日程，看看你的目标，看看你的愿望。你在心里增添了什么东西？使你与上帝以及他人的关系变得复杂了？是什么束缚了你？是什么让你裹足不前呢？
今天，也许就是你要放下担子的日子，不要再有什么压力、忙碌以及消耗你的事情。你可以做出选择。这个世界始终在牵引拉扯你，并且要把你吸入它的漩涡。问题是，你是让自己被这些事情所诱惑，还是激励自己跟随耶稣。不要让这个世界吞没了你。那只是貌似美好的幻象，你越是喜爱世界，对上帝的渴慕就越减少。
今日祷告：
耶稣，求你给我敏锐的洞察力，让我从你的视角来辨别选择，求你帮助我停止追逐这个世界的虚浮，而是单单跟随你。阿们。

The World Offers…
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.

Take a look at all your stuff. Then take a look at your schedule. Then take a look at your goals and then take a look at your wish list. What have you added to your heart that complicates your simple walk with God or with others? What have you tied yourself to? What anchors have you purchased?
Today might be the day when you choose to let go, quit stressing, quit filling, and quit consuming. The options will still be there. The tractor beam of the next great item or opportunity will still pull on you and try to suck you into its vortex. The question is whether you will let yourself be induced into those things rather than motivating yourself to pursue Jesus. Don’t let the fragmented shards of society trick you. They are but a broken image of what is good. Gaining more fragments gives you less room to thirst for God.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, give me discernment to choose what is good from your perspective. Help me to stop pursuing all the offerings of the world, and instead to pursue you alone. Amen.
