富有或贫穷
“耶稣说：「你若愿意作完全人，可去变卖你所有的，分给穷人，就必有财宝在天上；你还要来跟从我。」”
马太福音19:21
这个人，什么都不缺。他很富有，他有影响力，他很良善，他敬虔度日。当然，他也长得 很帅。好莱坞制片人可能会安排他出现在下一季的真人秀节目《钻石王老五》中。他几乎就是绝世好男人。但是，他觉得自己缺少些什么。
当这个年轻人听说耶稣在城里，他就去请教耶稣。这很蹊跷，毕竟，耶稣并不富有。他不是商人，他甚至没有枕头的地方。他或许长得也不帅。他们的对话是这样的：“看上去，你的生活和信仰都很好啊。” 耶稣对这人说。“是啊，我知道看起来是这样，但是我还是觉得缺点什么。到底是什么呢？” 耶稣说：“你一无所缺。但你被你的财产所占有了。要想真正富有，就来跟从我，得到心灵的自由。”

Impoverished
Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
MATTHEW 19:21
This guy had it all together. He was wealthy. He had influence. He was good. He followed God’s patterns. Surely he was handsome too. Hollywood producers would have tried to snag him to star in the next season of The Bachelor. He was as good a man as there is out there. But he felt like he was lacking something.
When the young man heard Jesus was in town, he went to ask him a question, which was a strange thing to do. Jesus, after all, was not wealthy. He wasn’t a businessman. He didn’t even own a pillow. And he probably wasn’t that great looking. Their conversation went something like this: “It looks like you’ve got life and faith all figured out,” Jesus told the young man.
“Yes, I know it looks that way, but I’m still missing something. What is it?” the rich man asked.
“Well, you lack what you don’t have,” Jesus answered. “Nothing. You’ve got everything, but you’re possessed by your possessions. To be truly rich, free your heart to follow me.”

Dear Jesus, let me fill my life with nothing unless it is you. Amen.
