耶和华的名
“不可妄称耶和华—你神的名；因为妄称耶和华名的，耶和华必不以他为无罪。”
申命记 5:11
我们经常妄称耶和华上帝的名。只要遇到不顺心的事，例如手指被门夹了，或者听到什么坏消息，我们第一时间就是大喊上帝，就像发射导弹一样。如果有人开车插到我们前面，我们也怒不可遏，喊叫着上帝。或者我们听到什么八卦消息，新闻爆料，我们也会不断地随意妄称祂的名。可悲的是，很多时候我们都以不同的形式妄称主名，发泄不满，还带有亵渎的意味。
这个习惯必须立刻改掉！我们从不希望自己的名声被羞辱，不希望自己的名字和诅咒相关联。那么我们又怎么胆敢妄称耶和华上帝的名呢？在耶和华的十诫里，第三条就是：不可妄称耶和华的名。我们绝不可滥用上帝的名，而是应该在所做的一切事上努力荣耀祂的名。
今日祷告：
主耶稣，让我尊崇你的名，从今以后，绝不轻忽。阿们。

The Name
You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.
DEUTERONOMY 5:11
God’s name is too often tossed about like a dirty rag in a garage. If we slam our thumb in the door or if we get some frustrating news, we launch his name into the air like a ballistic missile fueled by our irritation. If someone cuts us off in traffic, we grab the Lord’s name and throw it back in reaction. Or if we get a juicy morsel of gossip or some unexpected news, we erupt in a barrage of flippant repetitions of his name. And, sadly, we use various mutations of the name of Jesus—frequently laced with the vulgar power of profanity.
This needs to stop. We wouldn’t want our own name discarded in the mud, cast carelessly about, and coupled with cursing. How can we dare do that with God’s name then? Importantly, out of the Ten Commandments, God placed the honor of his name as number three. We must not misuse God’s name, but rather seek to honor it in all that we do.
Pray for the Day:
Lord Jesus, let me honor your name and, from this day forward, never take it for granted. Amen.
