坚守正道
“他们在这些事上，见你们不与他们同奔那放荡无度的路，就以为怪，毁谤你们。他们必在那将要审判活人死人的主面前交帐。”
彼得前书 4:4-5
跟随主耶稣最大的祝福就是：他改变了你的生命；同时，跟随主耶稣最大的挑战也是：他改变了你的生活。他让你得到真理和自由，他也要你约束自己；他成就你，使你满足；他也要你放弃一切；耶稣赋予你伟大的使命，他也要你谦卑服事他人。这两个反方向的张力 ，有时可能很强烈，尤其是对于那些生命有极大改变的人来说，张力更大。亲朋好友也许很难理解为什么你不再和他们一起参加过去的一些活动了。面对这些失望的朋友，你要做的就是单单听从耶稣。他要更新你的灵魂。你在耶稣里的冷静、专注和自信，会让你毫不退缩和动摇。
今日祷告：
亲爱的耶稣，我面对多方力量的拉扯。求你帮助我排除搅扰我的杂音，坚定地跟随你。阿们。

The Right Stuff
Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. But remember that they will have to face God, who stands ready to judge everyone, both the living and the dead.
1 PETER 4:4–5
One of the greatest things about following Jesus is the difference he makes in your life. And one of the most difficult things about following Jesus is the difference he makes in your life. Jesus gives freedom and he urges restraint. Jesus gives fulfillment and he asks you to give up everything. Jesus gives you a high calling and he asks you to serve others.
This tugging in two opposite directions can be extreme at times, especially for those whose lives were dramatically transformed by Jesus. Some old friends or family might have difficulty understanding why you won’t join them in some of your self-serving past activities. Your task, in the face of frustrated friends, is simply to listen to Jesus. He will help restore your spirit. Your calm focus and confident assurance in Jesus will keep you from flinching.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, I am tugged in multiple directions. Help me drown out the disruptive noise and stay true to you today. Amen.
