为主站立
“我还告诉你，你是彼得，我要把我的教会建造在这磐石上；阴间的权柄不能胜过他。”
马太福音16:18
在历史的关键时刻，当河水翻腾，波涛汹涌之时，这个世界需要有人为耶稣挺身而出。当机会失去，当人们不能站稳脚跟时，他们就会被激流冲走。一旦抓住机会，当人们坚持正义时，历史的进程就会稳定，耶稣给世界带来医治。我们现在也许正处在这样的时刻。我们需要有人愿意为主勇敢坚定，稳如磐石，毫不动摇。我们要张开爱的双臂，勇敢地起来，去稳住那些在压力之下信心软弱动摇的人， 这样，他们才能调整姿态，才能站立得住，才能加入救援他人的行列。当年，正是在这样的一个历史时刻，耶稣问彼得：「你们说我是谁？」 西门·彼得 毫不含糊地回答说：「你是基督，是永生 神的儿子。」
今日祷告：
耶稣，在这个重要的历史时刻，赐我力量，为你站立。阿们。

Stand in History
“Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”
MATTHEW 16:18
At important moments of history, when rivers collided and torrents swelled, this world has needed people to take a stand for Jesus. If the opportunity was missed, if people failed to plant their feet, spectators were caught up in the rushing current and swept away. But when the opportunity was seized, when people stood up for what was right, the course of history was stabilized and Jesus brought healing to the scattered. We are perhaps now at one of those moments. We need people bold enough to position their feet as a rock in the rapids, undeterred and unmoved. Then, with loving arms stretched out wide, we need those bold people to catch others before the pressure sweeps them away. For as soon as people are caught, they are enabled to catch their breath, steady their stance, and join in the rescue effort. At one of these pivotal moments in history, Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say I am?” Peter, against the current, stood boldly and unashamedly, and declared, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, give me the strength to boldly stand for you in this important moment of history. Amen.
