与主相连
你们要常在我里面，我也常在你们里面。枝子若不常在葡萄树上，自己就不能结果子；你们若不常在我里面，也是这样。
约翰福音15:4
设想一下，你与主耶稣的关系，是用胶带粘在一起的。你抓住祂的手，你与祂的手腕间有那奇妙的纽带粘在一起。只要你和耶稣紧紧相连，你的生命就不断丰盛。由于你与耶稣紧密连结，祂使你成圣，你的陋习开始消失；你的好习惯不断生长，因为你在耶稣里得到祂的滋润。然而，一旦你决意松开纽带，脱离耶稣，哪怕就是一小会儿，会有什么样的后果呢？那些旧有的陋习有时会如此具有诱惑力。你可别说：耶稣，就一会儿，我马上就回来。
今日祷告：
耶稣，不要让我放松，不要让我脱离，让我与你紧紧相连。阿们。

Remain
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
JOHN15:4
Imagine that your relationship with Jesus is fastened together with duct tape—you hold his hand and you both strap that magical silvery gluey adhesive around your wrists. As long as you are fastened to Jesus, whatever you do begins to produce abundance in your life. Your ugly habits begin to disappear because you are securely connected to Jesus who sanctifies you, and your beautiful habits begin to flourish because you are being grafted into Jesus who nourishes you.
Imagine, however, what would happen if you decided to loosen the tape just enough to slip out of relationship with Jesus—just for a moment here and another moment there. Not for good, of course. At least, not at first. It’s just that those ugly old habits are so alluring at times. Just a minute, Jesus. I’ll be back soon.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, don’t let me slip away. Tighten our relationship today. Amen.
