不要说谎
“不要彼此说谎；因你们已经脱去旧人和旧人的行为， 穿上了新人。这新人在知识上渐渐更新，正如造他主的形象。”
歌罗西书 3:9-10
电影《疯狂神父》中有一个场景，摔跤手纳丘 (Jack Black出演— 杰克·布莱克) 极为沮丧，因为他的好朋友告诉他说，吃老鹰蛋的蛋黄可以让他有特殊的摔跤技能。于是他辛辛苦苦爬上悬崖峭壁，找到老鹰的窝，敲开一个老鹰蛋，大口吞下了蛋黄。却还是很尴尬地输掉了下一场摔跤比赛。 后来，他责怪他的朋友说：“史蒂文 ，你骗我！老鹰蛋根本没有用，既没有给我老鹰的力量，也没有给我任何的营养！”
谎言，甚至是荒诞不经的，都会误导人，伤害人。谎言就像某种涂在耳朵上的止痒霜，实际上只能让问题更严重。谎言腐蚀信任，引起迷惑，让人陷入各种错综复杂的混乱之中。
但是，在耶稣里，有透明和真相。耶稣让这个充满虚假和谎言的世界焕然一新。
耶稣实事求是，他说什么就是什么。耶稣没有必要兜售什么，也不企图得到什么。耶稣是真实的，无伪的，他的话语也是有权柄的。
今日祷告：
主耶稣，愿你把我塑造成一个诚实的人。如果我撒谎，请立刻制止我。让我所说的都是实话。阿们。
April 24 – Eagle Eggs
Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

There is a scene in the movie Nacho Libre where Nacho (a wrestler played by Jack Black) was extremely frustrated with his friend for telling him that drinking the yoke from eagle eggs would give him special fighting skills.
After climbing a cliff, finding a nest, cracking open an egg, and guzzling, he went on to embarrassingly lose his next wrestling match. Later, he rebuked his friend, saying, “Those eggs were a lie, Steven! A lie! They give me no eagle powers. They give me no nutrients!”
Lies, even ridiculous ones, mislead and set people up for heartache. Lies sell a twisted lotion that applies to itchy ears, but in reality only serves to make the problems worse. Lies erode trust, cause confusion, and get people into all kinds of convoluted messes. But in Jesus there is transparency and truth. He is refreshing to a world that is oversaturated with untruths.
What Jesus says is what is. He isn’t selling anything or trying to gain from manipulation. Jesus is genuine, authentic, and confident with his words.
Pray for the Day:
Lord Jesus, shape me into an honest person. If I start a lie today, stop me from completing it. Help me speak the truth. Amen.
