谦卑顺服
“你们中间谁是有智慧有见识的呢？他就当在智慧的温柔上显出他的善行来。”
雅各书3:13
你若想在一生中真正有所作为，你就要明白，你所成就的很多事，并不能让自己获得荣耀。人类不需要更多的狂妄自大，哗众取宠，而需要更多愿意助人为乐的人。
船上的舵看起来微乎其微，在巨轮制造的所有部件中，方向舵很微小，不起眼。但假以时日，它持续的影响却举足轻重，因为它可以改变这艘巨轮的航向。虽然人们一般不会想到方向舵，但是都会注意到巨轮的航向。
那些一贯过着正直的生活、明智地选择跟随上帝脚踪的人，可以对世界产生一代又一代的影响。但是，这样的生活方式需要一个极其无私的品格，就是“谦卑”，就是在一个人的心中，始终把上帝和他人放在首位。
今日祷告：
主耶稣，愿我做善事所得到的一切赞美都归于祢。阿们。
June 9 – Humility Works
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.
JAMES3:13
To truly make a difference during your lifetime, it might mean that you don’t get the glory for much of what you actually accomplish in your life. Humanity does not need any more egomaniacs drawing attention to themselves. But it does need more people who are willing to do things for the benefit of others.
A rudder on a ship makes what seems like a small impact at first. Of all the impressive parts that make up a great ship, the rudder is small and doesn’t get the attention it deserves. But over time, the constant influence of that rudder changes the entire course of direction for that massive ship.
Though people don’t normally think about the rudder, they do notice where the massive ship goes—the direction it takes.
Those who live a consistent life of integrity, who make wise choices and follow God’s patterns, can make an impact that lasts for several lifetimes. But such a way of living takes humility—a terribly selfless word that puts God and others in the position of priority in one’s heart.

Lord Jesus, let the good things I do bring you more praise than they bring me. Amen
