刚强壮胆
“你们当刚强壮胆，不要害怕，也不要畏惧他们，因为耶和华—你的 神和你同去。他必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。」”
申命记31:6
你们当刚强壮胆。注意这个命令的全部。不是只要刚强或者只要壮胆，而是要刚强并壮胆。这是耶和华上帝在约书亚即将承担大任之前对他的晓谕。这个担子可不轻。神人摩西，英明地带领了以色列人四十年，现在把接力棒交给约书亚。以色列人一定担心，少年约书亚会和摩西一样有能力吗？跟着约书亚会有光明的前途吗？
但是，耶和华上帝可以让任何人有能力，做任何他想要这个人做的事。约书亚始终如一，尽心尽力，以上帝的旨意为先。因此，当伟大的时刻终于来临时，耶和华让约书亚得着能力，并大大使用他。“不要害怕，不要惊惶，只要信我。”
今天，上帝也是这样呼召你来影响世界。相信祂借着你来工作，开始新的一天。紧跟上帝的脚步，他必与你同在。

“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
DEUTERONOMY 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Notice the command here. Don’t just be strong and don’t just be courageous. But be strong and courageous. This is what the Lord told Joshua as he was about to take a huge leadership role. The responsibility must have been overwhelming. Moses, Mister Miracle Man, who had effectively led Israel for forty years, had passed the baton on to Joshua. Everyone must have wondered, Are we going to be okay? Will Joshua be able to lead us like Moses did?
The Lord can enable anyone he wants, to do anything he wants them to do. Joshua had proven himself to be a consistent, dedicated person who put God’s interests above his own. So when the grand moment came, the Lord was ready to empower him and use him. “Don’t listen to everyone’s fears. Don’t be led astray by your own anxiety. Trust me.”
God is calling you to make a difference in the world. Trust him to work through you today. He is with you when you are following his lead in your life.
Pray for the Day:
Lord Jesus, empower me to do what you want me to do today. Amen.
