谦卑
“务要在主面前自卑，主就必叫你们升高。”
雅各书4:10
谦卑是一种难得的美德。我们以为自己谦卑的时候，实际上我们可能已经不再谦卑。有人真的可以说自己很谦卑吗？是的，可以。耶稣就可以。但是，也只有耶稣有资格可以这样说。耶稣是最伟大的君王，又是最谦卑的仆人。耶稣的伟大高于一切，但又谦卑舍己上了十字架。为了我们的救赎和永生，耶稣甘愿放弃了自己所有的荣耀。没有人比耶稣更伟大，也没有人比他更谦卑。耶稣，让我们明白谦卑的真谛。
今日祷告：
主耶稣，我要不断地称谢你。我要谦卑屈膝在你的面前。我是如此不配，你却依然呼召了我。让我顺服你，将一切荣耀归于你。阿们。
June 12 – Humbled
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
JAMES 4:10
Humility is such an elusive, ironic beauty. The moment we think we have it, haven’t we lost it? Could anyone ever accurately say, “I am humble”? Yes. Someone could. Jesus could. But he’s the only one who was qualified to do so. Jesus is the ultimate King and he is the ultimate Servant. Although he is greater than the greatest greatness that could ever be, he humbled himself to the point of dying on a cross for our sake. He voluntarily gave up all of his glory so that we could live. No one can ever be as truly great as Jesus or as truly humble as Jesus. And that fact should humble us even further.
Pray for the Day:
Lord Jesus, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I can do nothing else but bow before you. I am not worthy to be called yours, and yet that is exactly what you call me. Let me respond to you with the honor you deserve from me today. Amen.
