耐心守候
“五旬节到了，门徒都聚集在一处。 忽然，从天上有响声下来，好像一阵大风吹过，充满了他们所坐的屋子，”
使徒行传 2:1-2
如果说，耶稣的第一批门徒，那些改变历史进程的人，制定过什么宏伟的计划，那可就错了。他们没有坐在大会议室里，他们没有最精明的专业人士，也没有杰出的政治战略家跟他们及时分析形势、汇报意见。事实上，除了耐心等待，他们根本无计可施。
耶稣复活后向门徒显现，告诉他们要等待圣灵的降临，圣灵要给他们能力作他的见证，直到地极。所以，门徒就开始等候。他们在祷告中守候。他们日常生活依旧。他们也经常聚会，谈论他们所见过的耶稣的作为、所听过的耶稣的教训。他们耐心等待。然后，神就显现了。
今日祷告：
亲爱的耶稣，求你在我生命中显现。求你的圣灵感动我。求你的圣灵也感动我的朋友。求你今天就大大地改变我们的生命。阿们。
May 5 – Pentecost
On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.

It would be wrong to say that the first followers of Jesus—you know, the ones who changed the entire course of human history—had a great plan. They didn’t sit around large conference-room tables with the best minds in the industry or the most brilliant political strategists checking popular opinion polls every few minutes.
The truth is that they really didn’t know what to do. Jesus had given them instructions after his resurrection to wait for him to send the Holy Spirit, who would empower them to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. So they waited according to his word. They spent time praying. And they spent time going about their daily routines. They would gather together often and eat and talk about all they had seen Jesus do and all they had heard him say. And they waited. And then God showed up.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, show up in my life today. Let your Spirit move me. Let your Spirit move among my friends. Impact our lives deeply today. Amen.
