做橄榄树
至於我，就像神殿中的青橄榄树；我永永远远倚靠神的慈爱。
诗篇52：8
尽管橄榄树个头很小，但是在历史上却产生了巨大的影响。它是一种常青树，可以开花结果达数百年之久。它枝繁叶茂，是富足与和平的象征。战争中的双方经常通过赠送橄榄枝来表达和好的意愿。橄榄油除了可以用来烹调，还被用来举行宗教仪式，传递祝福。
橄榄树是一个隐喻，用来代表那些跟随基督、每日活在上帝之爱里的人。尽管起初这个世界也许认为他们微不足道，但是他们的见证却万古流芳。在历史的每个时期他们为世人提供荫蔽和保护。他们所产生的影响力世世代代都有目共睹。他们给这个世界带来丰盛的生命和真正的平安。他们关心他人的日常生活，也在重要的人生关头给与祝福。换句话说，耶稣的门徒，为这个世界带来了不可估量的改变。
今日祷告：
主耶稣，让我每天信靠祢，在祢的爱中茁壮成长。阿们。
May 30 – Thrive
But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.

Even though it is small in size, the olive tree has made a tremendous impact throughout history. It is an evergreen tree that can flower and bear fruit for centuries to come. Its leafy branches are a symbol of abundance and peace, often extended after a violent war between enemies. Olive oil is a useful cooking resource, and it is used symbolically as a sign of blessing in many religious ceremonies and rites of passage around the world.
The olive tree is a metaphor for those who follow God’s ways and live daily in his love. Though the world may look upon them as insignificant at first, their lasting impact cannot be disputed. They give shade and refuge in every season of life. The difference they make can be evidenced for generations to come. They supply this world with a source of abundant life and offer the stability of peace. They provide regular daily care for people and also blessing for the major events of life. In other words, followers of Jesus make an incredible difference in this world.

Lord Jesus, let me thrive in life by trusting in your love every day. Amen.
