洗礼的意义
彼得說：你們各人要悔改，奉耶穌基督的名受洗，叫你們的罪得赦，就必領受所賜的聖靈；
徒2：38
洗礼与沐浴非常相似。它是一种洁净的象征。当我们被浸到水里的时候，我们的罪也被洗净。耶稣使我们在上帝的面前洁白无瑕。洗礼也像是一种死亡。这是一种看得见的宣告，表明我们将自己的罪和对私欲的追求都交给耶稣。就如我们被埋葬，让耶稣将我们的罪留在坟墓里。
洗礼也象征复活。这是一幅在耶稣里得到新生的画面。当我们从水里起来的时候，我们旧的生命死去了，新的生命诞生了。这是一大步飞跃，但也是很简单的一步。每一个愿意跟随耶稣的人，都可以通过洗礼，在家人、朋友和其他基督徒面前见证自己的信仰。

May 21 – Baptism
Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the
Holy Spirit.”

Baptism is a lot like taking a bath. It is a symbol of cleansing. As we go under the water, it’s as if our sin is washed away and Jesus presents us spotless before God. Baptism is also a lot like dying. It is a visual declaration that we have committed our sins and selfish pursuits to Jesus. It’s as if we are being buried and agreeing with Jesus to leave our sin in the grave.
Baptism is also a lot like resurrection. It is a picture of receiving new life in Jesus. As we are lifted from the depths of the water, it’s as if our old life is gone and a new life has come. It is also like a big step, but it’s also a simple one. It gives everyone who wants to follow Jesus a visual opportunity to show faith in Jesus in front of friends, family, and fellow followers of Jesus.
Pray for the Day:
Lord Jesus, thank you for washing me clean of my sins. Let me live a baptized life today. Amen.
