不要隐藏
“你们是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隐藏的。 人点灯，不放在斗底下，是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。 你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。」”
马太福音 5:14-16
有一首儿歌这样唱道：“我是一丝光，我要去照亮。藏我在蒲式耳，不！我要去照亮，我要去照亮！” 蒲式耳是什么？蒲式耳是计量单位，相当于八加仑的干货。有时盛着一蒲式耳如谷物之类的篮子也被称为蒲式耳。这首儿歌的意思很简单：没有人要把蜡烛藏在蒲式耳篮子底下。谁要那样做呢？你可能会想：还不如不要点亮吧。耶稣，世界的光，祂要透过你照亮世界。不要隐藏你的光。

主耶稣，求你将倾泻在我灵魂里的光辉，也溢流到他人的心中。阿们。
May 12 – Hide It Under a Bushel
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

The old kids’ song went like this: “This little light of mine, I’m gonna to let it shine… / Hide it under a bushel? No! / I’m gonna let it shine / Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.” What is a bushel? A bushel is a form of measurement equal to eight gallons of dry goods. Sometimes the basket, holding a bushel of grain, for instance, was also called a bushel. The idea of the song is simply that no one can hide a candle under a bushel basket. Why would anyone do that? you may be thinking. It might as well not be lit. Jesus, the Light of the World, wants to brighten the world through you. Don’t hide today.

Lord Jesus, let the same light that you have flooded into my soul overflow into others. Amen.
