怜悯饥饿的人
“你心若向饥饿的人发怜悯， 使困苦的人得满足， 你的光就必在黑暗中发现； 你的幽暗必变如正午。”
以赛亚书 58:10
不是在这里，真的吗？不是现在，对吗？我知道世界各地都有很多的问题，但是不在我的身边。在我们这个国家，孩子们不会挨饿；这里的人从来不会被丢弃不顾；我社区的家庭都安居乐业，不是吗？
耶稣是有大使命的。这意味着你也当如此。他倾听饥饿者的哭喊，屈身关怀那些陷入困境的人。哪里有黑暗，祂就带去祂的光芒。他在废墟中搜寻被困的；他精准地救出被压的；他精心缠裹复原受伤的。当人们在祂医治的手中得到新的生命，祂便因此而欢欣喜乐。有多少救助的事工在等着你我，这是何等荣幸的呼召！

耶稣，谢谢你赐福予 我。求你使用我，将你的祝福分享给他人。阿们
February 7 – Feed the Hungry
“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness,
and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.”

Not here, really? Not now, right? Sure, I know there are problems around the world—out there—but not around me. Kids don’t go hungry in this nation. People aren’t cast aside here. Families have everything they need to be successful in my community, don’t they?
Jesus is on mission. That means you had better be too. He listens for the cry of the hungry and leans into the mess of those who are in trouble. He looks for darkness and pierces it with his brilliance. He searches the rubble for signs of those who are trapped. He works with precision to remove the concrete and rebar and beams crushing them. He attends to wounds and orchestrates restoration efforts. He patiently heals and persistently rejoices when he sees people find life through his hands. There is plenty of rescue work to do. What a privileged calling you and I have.

Lord Jesus, thank you for blessing me in my needs. Please use me to share your
blessing with others. Amen.
