反见证
“轻易发怒的，行事愚妄； 设立诡计的，被人恨恶。”
箴言 14:17
耶稣希望你在这个世界上有所不同，成为一个好见证，而不是稀里糊涂、不清不楚、乱七八糟的见证。不幸的是，很多时候，一些人说自己跟随耶稣，实际上却在这个世界上作反见证。耶稣对门徒说，他们若有彼此相爱的心，众人因此就认出他们是耶稣的门徒了。（约13:35）。因此，如果那些声称跟随耶稣的人，脾气暴躁，行事愚蠢，诡计多端，岂不是一件可怕的事吗？轻易发怒的人不可避免地会做愚蠢的事，因而导致他们为了自我保护和自身利益，就会搞阴谋诡计，歪曲事实。基督徒的声誉会受到损害，就因为那些声称是耶稣门徒的人没有活出爱来。这是何等可怕的事！基督徒应该是世界的光，在黑暗中见证耶稣。他们本身不应该成为黑暗的传播者。不要做反见证。
今日祷告：
主耶稣啊，求祢让我不要轻易发怒。让我因着你的爱而内心平静。阿们。
February 15 – The Wrong Kind of Difference
Short-tempered people do foolish things, and schemers are hated.
P R O V E R B S 1 4 : 1 7
Jesus wants you to make a difference in the world. A good difference— not a mixed-up, mangled, messed-up difference. Unfortunately, all too often, people who say they follow Jesus end up making the wrong kind of difference in this world. Jesus said to his disciples that their love for each other would prove to the world that they were his followers (John 13:35).
So it would be a terrible thing if those who claimed to follow Jesus demonstrated tempers, idiocy, and conspiracy. People who are quick to anger inevitably do really stupid things, which in turn causes them to scheme and worm and twist things for their own protection and gain. It would be terrible for the reputation of Christians to suffer because people who claimed to follow Jesus failed to live with love. Christians are supposed to be a light to the world, reflecting Jesus into the darkness. They are not supposed to be dispensers of darkness themselves. Don’t make the wrong kind of difference.
Pray for the Day:
Lord Jesus, don’t let me mess up in anger today. Keep my heart cooled by your love. Amen.
