奇妙婴孩
“因有一婴孩为我们而生；有一子赐给我们。政权必担在他的肩头上；他名称为「奇妙策士、全能的上帝、永在的父、和平的君」。”
以赛亚书 9:6
回到先知以赛亚的年代，亚述王国在肉体和精神两个方面都给以色列人带来极大的痛苦。但是不要担心。因为先知以赛亚预言有一个婴孩降要诞生。一个婴孩。“大家别担心，一个婴孩即将出生！” 请注意：这个小婴孩可不像你们那个普通的、可爱的小宝宝。祂的能力和威严，震惊世界。先知以赛亚没有回避这一点。
在以赛亚的预言中，“婴孩”一词非常重要，因为这个婴孩关乎整个预言。如果没有这个婴孩，整个预言就不成立。如果这个婴孩没有出生，没有步入黑暗，整个世界就沦陷了。如果这个婴孩没有产生影响力，世界的灵魂就消亡了。如果这个婴孩没有出生，黑暗势力依然掌权，人民依然在重压下绝望、挣扎，深受捆锁。如果不是这个婴孩的奇妙大能，一切将永远不会改变。
今日祷告：
耶稣，祢如此卑微地到来，却如何知道将改变整个世界？我深深敬畏祢！阿们。

Child
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
ISAIAH 9:6
Back in Isaiah’s day, the nation of Assyria inflicted intense physical distress and spiritual misery upon Israel. But not to worry, because Isaiah proclaimed that a child would be born. A child. “Hey don’t worry, everyone—a baby is coming.” Well, this wasn’t just your normal, cute little bubble-blowing baby. The power and majesty of this child would be utterly astonishing. Isaiah was not afraid to emphasize this.
Child is the prominent word in Isaiah’s prophecy. For upon this child would hinge everything. If you were to take the child out, the entire prophecy falls apart. If this child is not born and does not step into darkness, the entire world collapses. If this child does not make an impact, the world’s very soul crumbles. Without this child being born, darkness still reigns, oppression still weighs people down, despair and struggle and restriction still overwhelm. And they always would, if it was not for the amazing capacity of this child to change everything.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, how did you come in such fragility and still know you would change the world? I am in awe of you. Amen.
