“我劝你，第一要为万人恳求、祷告、代求、祝谢；为君王和一切在位的，也该如此，使我们可以敬虔、端正、平安无事地度日。这是好的，在上帝我们救主面前可蒙悦纳。他愿意万人得救，明白真道。”
提摩太前书 2:1-4
又到了一年中投票选举的季节。在你筛选信息、辨别是非的同时，你正在考虑你要选举的领导人，是否将会对百姓生活产生重大影响。这可是一件大事，所以你的选票至关重要。选举会带来不同的结果。
无论你对一个领导者的看法如何，在投票之前，一定要为他/她祷告。为国家祷告，为政治领袖祷告。基督徒一贯认为我们有责任为国家的健康发展、和平安稳来祷告。
今日祷告：
耶稣，求祢鼓励帮助我，与其抱怨那些当选的领导者，不如花精力为他们祷告。阿们。

Pray for Your Leaders
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

This is the time of year when politicians seek your vote. As you sift your way through the myriad of sound bites for streams of truth, you are considering electing leaders who will make a significant impact in the lives of millions of people. That’s a big deal. So your vote makes a tremendous difference. Elections have consequences.
It is essential, no matter how you feel about a leader, to pray before voting for him or her. Pray for the nation and pray for its leaders. The push to pray for healthy and safe governance has always been a prevailing perspective for followers of Jesus.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, encourage me to use the energy that I put into complaining about elected leaders toward praying for my leaders. Amen.
