长久之计
“因为，他在雅各中立法度，在以色列中设律法；是他吩咐我们祖宗要传给子孙的，使将要生的后代子孙可以晓得；他们也要起来告诉他们的子孙，”
诗篇 78:5-6
我们要开阔眼界。当你从事某件事的时候，你要考虑你的行为所产生的影响，不仅是短期的，而且是长远的。不仅要考虑到对你自己的影响，对你的家人、朋友的影响，还要考虑对后人的影响。
圣经中有极为长远的眼光和异象。当我们只关注此时此地的生活，当我们把教会和信仰生活只放在眼前的利益上，我们就辜负了上帝对我们的期望。
我们的信仰注定要影响一代又一代。我们的先人将信仰代代相传，最后将传递耶稣的福音这个使命托付于我们。现在，我们也要装备我们的后代，使他们不仅拥有这个信仰，而且也要让他们能够使子子孙孙都跟随耶稣的脚踪。
今日祷告：
亲爱的耶稣，让我有长远的眼光，将信仰传给后人。阿们。

Generational Vision
For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them— even the children not yet born— and they in turn will teach their own children.
PSALM 78 : 5 – 6
Broaden your scope today. As you go about your own business, consider the impact that your actions have, not just immediately but for the long term. Consider not just the impact your actions have on you, or on your immediate family or friends, but on those who will come after you.
The scope of vision in the Bible is incredibly forward thinking. When we make our lives only about the here and now, when we make church or faith about the current benefit, we squander the immensity of impact visualized within Scripture. Our faith was meant to impact generations. Those who came before us passed faith down through the generations, and eventually that faith in Jesus was entrusted to us. Now it is our turn to equip those who follow us with faith, so that they not only embrace faith but are enabled to empower the generations after them to follow Jesus too.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, let my vision of faith never be navel-gazing. Amen.
