能做更多
“大卫早晨起来，将羊交托一个看守的人，照着他父亲所吩咐的话，带着食物去了。到了辎重营，军兵刚出到战场，呐喊要战。”
撒母耳记上 17:20
少年大卫击杀了歌利亚，实在是了不起的一件事。令人惊叹的不仅在于他怎么用甩石器和一块小石头就杀了歌利亚，而且在于他如此年轻，就英勇善战。那次击杀，可以说，事关民族的生死存亡。
但是，大卫不是只有那一次英雄事迹。为了保护他的羊群，他曾经杀死狮子和熊。他已被膏立为将来的国王，他也有勇气直面当时的国王。
大卫年纪轻轻就管理家族生意。他按照父亲的吩咐去前线给哥哥运送物资，他有权把羊群暂时交托给别人。
也许我们的社会对年轻人的信任和支持不够？也许我们对自己的挑战还不够？事实上，我们能做的比我们想象的更多，尤其是只要与神同在。
今日祷告：
耶稣，求祢加添我的责任感和行动力。让我不要相信“嘴上无毛 办事不牢” 这样的谎言。阿们。

You Can Do More than You Think
So David left the sheep with another shepherd and set out early the next morning with the gifts, as Jesse had directed him. He arrived at the camp just as the Israelite army was leaving for the battlefield with shouts and battle cries.

It was remarkable for David, a teenager, to slay Goliath. It wasn’t just how he did it, with a slingshot and a rock, but also that he did it. The fate of an entire nation was in his arm. But this wasn’t the first time David had done the remarkable. He had already killed lions and bears that had tried to attack his sheep. He had already been anointed as the next king, and he had the
guts to stand up to the current one face-to-face.
David, as a young man, also managed the family business. When he was instructed by his dad to bring supplies to his brothers at the battle lines, David had the authority to put another employee in charge while he was away. Perhaps our society doesn’t champion young people enough?
Perhaps we don’t challenge ourselves enough either? We can do more than we think we can do, especially if God is with us.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, challenge me to step up my level of responsibility and action. Don’t let me listen to the lies that young people are not ready to do great things. Amen.
