爱的光明–万圣节的思考
“你们要谨慎行事，不要像愚昧人，当像智慧人。要爱惜光阴，因为现今的世代邪恶。不要作糊涂人，要明白主的旨意如何。”
以弗所书 5:15-17
一些基督徒认为我们应该避免参加每年十月三十一日这一天的万圣节活动，因为这一天出动的都是些“牛鬼蛇神”、“妖魔鬼怪”。他们会觉得， 参加这些魑魅魍魉的活动太愚蠢。
另一些基督徒却认为我们应该参与万圣节。因为一年中只有这一天晚上 邻里之间都在外面交流互动。他们说，万圣节之夜，街上只有我家黑乎乎的没开灯，很不对劲。
无论我们属于哪一种观点，都应该注意两个方面。首先，凡事都应该寻求对上帝的爱。其次，在这个黑暗的世界，我们应该像明光照耀，带给邻舍爱的光明。
今日祷告：
亲爱的耶稣，求祢给我智慧和眼光，让我知道如何在朋友和邻舍面前成为祢爱的见证。阿们。

What to Do Tonight
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
EPHESIANS 5:15–17
Some followers of Jesus think we should avoid Halloween because of its flirtation with evil and the busy occult behaviors taking place every October 31. It would be incredibly foolish, these people would say, to open ourselves up to such demonic activity. Other followers of Jesus think we should participate in Halloween because it is the one night of the year when our neighbors are all outside interacting with one another. It would be ironically wrong, these people say, to be the only dark house on the street on Halloween night.
Wherever we fall in the great Halloween debate, our concern should be twofold. First, we should seek to love the Lord in everything we do, and second, we should seek to be a loving light for our neighbors in a darkened world.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, give me creativity and discernment as to how to be a loving witness to my friends and neighbors today. Amen.
