作好榜样
“我凡事给你们作榜样，叫你们知道应当这样劳苦，扶助软弱的人，又当记念主耶稣的话，说：『施比受更为有福。』」”
使徒行传 20:35
特蕾莎修女并不希望引人注目。她只是决定努力为主做工，帮助穷人。她不断地做着卑微的事情，去照顾那些受折磨、受痛苦的人。她的辛勤工作，使无数人效仿跟随她。她在加尔各答帮助穷人的美好见证，激励人们以她为榜样帮助世界各地有需要的人。
基督教会发展迅速的原因之一，就是耶稣的第一批门徒以身作则，关心穷苦百姓。他们不知疲倦地照顾孤儿寡母、救济难民。通过这些好行为，世人看到基督徒身上真实无伪的品德和与众不同的崭新面貌。
今日祷告：
耶稣，祢总是帮助一切有需要的人，祢就是我最好的榜样。求祢帮助我跟随祢的脚踪。阿们。

An Example
And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
ACTS 20:35
Mother Teresa didn’t call attention to herself. She was just determined to work hard for Jesus on behalf of the poor. As she continued steadily in her humble tasks of caring for those with afflictions, her hard work won her an incredible following. Her example of helping those in need in Calcutta inspired others to launch life-changing efforts to help those in need around the world.
One reason why Christianity spread so rapidly was because the first followers of Jesus led by example in caring for the poor. They worked tirelessly on behalf of widows and orphans. They started movements to support those suffering from famine and they constantly addressed the
needs of the afflicted. Through these efforts the world could tell that there was something remarkably genuine and refreshing about those who followed Jesus.
Pray for the Day:
Jesus, you are the ultimate example of how to help those in need. Help me to follow your lead. Amen.
