尊敬老人
“「在白发的人面前，你要站起来；也要尊敬老人，又要敬畏你的上帝。我是耶和华。”
利未记 19:32
上帝喜爱老人。你呢？祂喜爱他们悠长的人生经历以及那深邃的微笑；祂喜爱他们幽默的洞见和对世界强烈的关注；祂喜爱他们脸上的皱纹、他们的智慧和他们的诙谐机智。祂喜爱那些长者，他们如陈年美酒，回味无穷；他们饱经风霜，无怨无悔。祂爱他们，虽然经历时代变迁，战争与恐怖，经济兴衰，改朝换代，他们仍然像年轻的勇士一般，单纯依旧，不忘初心。
上帝似乎相信，一位历经岁月沧桑的老人更值得尊敬和爱戴。他们一生风霜雪雨，正如树木的年轮，每一圈都见证了悲与喜，得与失。他们的记忆中承载着多少酸甜苦辣。主知道这一切，祂极其珍爱他们。
今日祷告：
亲爱的耶稣，如果我不尊重年长者，又何以期望得到尊重？求你帮助我尊敬长者，让我荣耀你。阿们！

Respect Age
Stand up in the presence of the elderly, and show respect for the aged. Fear your God. I am the Lord.
LEVITICUS 19:32
God loves old people. Do you? He loves their long stories and deeply grained smiles. He loves their rascally outlook and feisty concern for the world. He loves their wrinkles and wisdom and wit. He loves people who have aged like good wine, without whining, of course. He loves those young-hearted warriors who have lived through generations, through wars, through terrors, through economies, through leaders, and they still stay simple and focused on what is right and true.
God seems to believe that someone who has lived a long life has earned the right to be respected. The years haven’t always been easy on them. For every ring of the tree they have borne the weight of joys and sorrows, jubilation and loss. Their memories are both sweet and bitter. And the Lord knows every fiber of their being and he loves them with every fiber of his being.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, how can I expect to be respected if I fail to respect those who have come before me. Help me to honor you by honoring those older than me. Amen.
