为主劳力
“不要为那必坏的食物劳力，要为那存到永生的食物劳力，就是人子要赐给你们的，因为人子是父上帝所印证的。」”
约翰福音 6:27
你是否有过“浪费时间、白白劳力”的经历？你是否对自己正在做的事情感到沮丧，然后厌恶地问自己“这有什么用处？” 也许每天来回的通勤让你抓狂；也许连续七个小时的熬夜追剧并没有让你的生活变得更好；也许你去超市转了半天并没有买到你想要的东西，你花力气栽种蔬果并没有得到你想要的收成。
耶稣不要你白白地劳力。他希望你珍惜你人生的每分每秒。他告诉你，人生的目的和意义，乃是在于耶稣。你应该付出所有努力去跟随耶稣，追求他的生命。当你与主同行，活在基督里，你才会明白你没有白白劳力。尊主为先，你的人生才会井然有序。

亲爱的耶稣，让我所要做的，都符合你的心意。阿们。
April 5 – Spend Energy
“But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.”

Have you ever felt like you wasted your energy on something before? Have you been frustrated about something you were working on and asked with disgust, “What’s the use?” Perhaps the commute is driving you crazy.
Maybe the last seven hours of your Netflix binge didn’t really improve your life after all. Maybe the effort you put into grocery shopping didn’t produce the sort of fruit you had hoped. (Get it? Grocery? Produce? Fruit? Just roll with it.)
Jesus doesn’t want you to waste your energy. He doesn’t want you to regret how you spent even one minute of your life. What gives purpose and meaning to all that you do, he says, is himself. Pursuit of him, and the life he gives, is worth every effort. You will know you are spending your energy wisely when you are seeking after Jesus and filtering all you do through him.
Everything in your life will begin to fall into its proper place as you find your priority in Jesus.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, help me match my priorities with yours. Amen.
