脱离捆绑
“我们四面受敌，却不被困住；心里作难，却不至失望；”
哥林多后书 4:8
看过《星球大战》吧？小机器人R2-D2 关键时候大显身手。当时，卢克（Luke）、莉亚（ Leia）, 以及汉索罗（Han Solo） 都卡在死亡星球的垃圾压缩机里。压缩机启动了，里面空间越来越小，他们都要被压碎了。这时候，R2-D2出现了，关闭了压缩机，把宇宙英雄们救出牢笼。
有时候我们的生活也像那样。各种各样的压力，让我们感觉不能喘气。无论用什么创新的方法，还是用多少个人的努力，总是没有出路。感谢耶稣，他可以救我们。他不需要电子手、电子解码软件那些高科技的玩意。耶稣只要使用祂自己的资源——祂丰盛的生命。即便在最糟糕的情形下，耶稣也可以使人摆脱重压，从而继续战斗。今天，你要站稳脚跟，充满信心，靠着耶稣拯救的大能，找到自由。
今日祷告：
亲爱的耶稣，在我最艰难的时候，求祢让我看到在你里面的盼望。阿们。
April 18 – Garbage Compactor
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.

R2-D2 was the only one who could save them. Luke, Leia, and Han Solo were all trapped in the Death Star’s garbage compactor. (Yes, this is a geeky but awesome illustration!) The walls started compacting, ready to squish everyone inside. It looked like all was lost—that is, until R2-D2 disabled the detention cell’s garbage compactors and the heroes were able to escape.
Sometimes life feels a lot like this. Pressures close in on us like a trash compactor on the Death Star. No matter what creative options we devise to wrangle free, no amount of personal effort could offer rescue forever. But Jesus is freedom. He didn’t need to use a cool digital arm with decoding software or a bunch of beeps and boops. Instead, he used the resource at his disposal: his abundant life. Even in overwhelming circumstances, Jesus enables people to escape from being crushed so they can keep on fighting. Stand confidently today by finding freedom in Jesus’ everlasting ability to rescue.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, in those moments where I become overwhelmed today, give me the hope of your life. Amen.
