告别愚蠢
“凡属基督耶稣的人，是已经把肉体连肉体的邪情私欲同钉在十字架上了。”
加拉太书 5:24
人们需要耶稣，因为他们做了很多愚蠢的选择，让自己沮丧失落。同样，人似乎也不能停止自己愚蠢的行为。江山易改本性难移。正如狗改不了自己的本性。人不是不知道邪情私欲最终造成的危害，却明知故犯。像秃鹰为了猎物相互攻击一样，人总是为了自己的利益不惜伤害他人。像四处游荡的绵羊，有些人总是作出错误的选择，以至于让身边所有人都受到伤害。
上帝造人，不是要我们做愚蠢的事。可惜人却总是有意无意地违背上帝的心愿。人因此一而再再而三地陷入罪的诱惑与捆绑。但是，耶稣上了十字架，就是把这些愚蠢和罪恶钉死。换来的是赐生命的智慧和鼓舞人心的喜乐。因此，基督的十字架胜过了世界，胜过了愚蠢。
今日祷告：
亲爱的耶稣，让我今天不要做愚蠢的事。让愚蠢离开我，钉死在十字架上。让我跟随你。阿们。
March 27 – Stupid Things
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

People need Jesus because they make so many frustratingly foolish choices. It’s almost like humans can’t stop acting out their inner idiocy. Like dogs that return to their own vomit, some people knowingly hurt themselves by pursuing pleasures that interest them in the moment but revolt them in the long run. Like vultures that hunt their prey, some even knowingly hurt others by taking advantage of weaknesses for their own selfish gain. Like sheep that wander, some people simply make wrong choices that end up hurting everyone in their circle of influence.
God did not create people to do stupid things. And yet people continually stray from God’s patterns, either intentionally or unintentionally. People constantly find themselves humiliated and trapped by the lure of sin’s idiocy. But Jesus overcame humanity’s corrupt absurdity by pursuing
the cross, where all the stupidity of sin is collected and destroyed. There, the life-giving wisdom and heart-empowering joy of Jesus is offered in exchange. And in this way, the cross of Christ dumbfounds foolish pursuits.
Pray for the Day:
Dear Jesus, don’t let me do stupid things today. Get them out of my life. Let them hang on the cross. And let me follow you. Amen.
